The Business Development Executive position develops relationships with new and existing business partners to grow credit union membership. Proactively promotes Insight Credit Union at key employers and business partners workplaces and events, and serves as a Credit Union representative. Creates and maintains strong relationships with managers to help identify and manage business development opportunities. Serves as a liaison to coordinates business development activities between Insight Credit Union staff and business partners.

*This position will overssee the Deland/Stetson Universiy Market.  Seeking Relationship experience/knowledge of that area.  Position is mainly travel based but will have a home location as needed at 1235-A Providence Blvd., Deltona, FL 32725.  

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
25% Provides marketing support for business development activities, including maintaining collateral and supplies needed for on-site promotion and presentations. Maintain brochures, design flyers, send letters and promotion to employees or members of business partner groups, maintain and coordinate tent and collateral needed for event, design and maintain supply of promo items.

25% Develop and provide member education as an added benefit to business partners and the overall membership. Offer regular member seminars such as youth boot camp, seniors seminars, shred events, financial fitness, etc. Coordinate marketing campaigns to promote these events to business partners and the overall membership. Leverage promotions and programs through member education and community events.

15% Works closely with Branch Managers and staff to develop leads, network with key personnel at key employee groups and business partner organizations, and enhance member and product penetration of those groups. Educates staff on the basics of business development and opportunities available in our existing and potential membership. Serves as a coordinator for Business Development activities.

15% Identifies and makes contact with prospective businesses to present information on Credit Union membership, products, and services. Makes sales calls to potential business partners. Negotiates with companies for inclusion in employee benefits package and access to promote the credit union.

15% Represents the Credit Union at various civic and community events when necessary to develop relationships and promote the Credit Union.

5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:
1. Must comply with all credit union departmental and company internal controls, code of ethics and Employee Handbook policies and procedures.

2. Responsible for compliance with BSA, AML, OFAC, and CIP as set forth in credit union policy.

3. To provide and ensure that the Credit Union Core Values are met on a consistent basis.

4. Must have strong written and oral communication skills.

5. Work must create and maintain a positive image for the credit union.

6. To carry out assigned responsibilities with zero errors as it relates to member/non member interaction.

7. Employee must have full knowledge of credit union products.

8. To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.

9. To achieve the credit union's planned market share, assets, loans, and other product/service objectives.

10. To deliver planned results within budget.

11. To assure communications are accurate, timely and within budgetary guidelines.

12. Must present a professional image.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell
ideas or services to others.

Other Skills Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit or stand and walk. Must be able to stand and speak for long periods of time and multipledays in a row. Travel to businesses, branch locations and community events within assigned area required. Some evening and weekend events will be required. Lifting and transporting materials for events up to 50lbs.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This position may require work on evenings and weekends as needed.
